Quebec-based CAE will provide a full-flight simulator (FFS) for the Learjet 85 aircraft which will be housed at Bombardier’s aircraft training centre in Montreal and will be used to support aircraft testing and certification in advance of the aircraft’s planned entry-into-service in 2013. An important step in the Learjet 85 aircraft program, the Learjet 85 simulator will be instrumental in refining the design and flight characteristics of this remarkable aircraft. It will then transition to provide customers with valuable pilot training prior to the delivery of their aircraft, as well as initial and recurrent training throughout the full life cycle of the Learjet 85 program. Customer training on the new simulator is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2013.
The aircraft is currently under development and the design and the design tolerances remain to be finalized and certified. The aircraft is subject to change during the course of the design, manufacture and certification process.
